A Lot of UNN Aspirants have been asking the question I didn’t See my name in UNN Merit Admission List, what should I do?
Let me use this medium to congratulate everyone that took part in the recently concluded Post UTME Screening Exercise. It was really a great one as I was an eye witness at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library and CDEL University of Nigeria, Nsukka Campus. It was really a great one.
After the exams, students were like when will the results be out? Fortunately for them, in not more than two days, the school management decided to surprise them. There were a lot of jubilation as most of the candidates were getting high scores. Some other students were sorrowing as they saw what they didn’t expect. The way fear catch some people sef eeh.. Me tire for them sef.
I didn’t See my name in UNN Merit Admission List
This is the question that do come from students after they must have checked the primary admission list just to find out that their names are not there. It is not a time be begin to shake. The school has several means of admitting student via merit list which include:
1, Catchment Area
2. Average of Post UTME and the JAMB
3. Competitiveness of the course.
I will explain this in another post. But in case you did not see your name in the primary admission list, see what to do next:
I didn’t See my name in UNN Merit Admission List – What to do Next
You can either do any of the following
- Purchase a Shopping / Supplementary form.
- Enroll for a JUPEB Programme
- You can also go for IJMB programme
- Pick up another JAMB form. (hmmmmm..this is usually painful).
DO NOT PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET.
- Purchase a shopping form:
The school management usually releases a form called shopping form or supplementary form two weeks after the release of the primary admission list. This is to give chance to those people whose cut off marks did not reach or their catchment failed.
The cost of the form is usually N10,000. UNN Aspirants, I advice you pick up these shopping form as you can easily get admitted into your first choice course or you are given another course. I have seen the case of a student who initially applied for Electrical Engineering. When his name did not appear in the merit list, He had to buy a shopping form and Chose ABE, Agric and Bioresourse Engineering. At the end of the day, he was given double admission. It was not left for him to choose his interest.
2. Enroll for a JUPEB Programme
This is another step to take in case your name did not appear in all the admission lists. The school management runs a JUPEB programme where candidates who are interested buys the form, and undergo a six-seven months formal training. After the programme, the candidate is to write a final exam which qualifies such to begin from 200L in the university. When the form comes out, you will be notified. Kindly stay around.
3. Go for IJMB Programme:
This is another option for go for. It is similar to that of JUPEB. The programme is organised by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
4. Pick Up another JAMB Form:
This may sound bad. But where there is no option, you have to go for this. I understand how a candidate will feel after spending money to write UNN postutme. I do not pray for this, but in case you fall into this category, please pick up another JAMB Form.
