It is funny to see some candidates who still get some Materials that are not allowed in JAMB Exam Halls into the same exam hall expecting to perform magic. JAMB has insisted on the non- use of electronic devices by candidates during the unified tertiary matriculation examinations (UTME).
Materials Not Allowed in JAMB Exam Hall
The below are the materials you should not get into the exam hall.
- smart lenses,
- books or any reading/writing material,
- ink/pen readers,
- key holders,
- ATM cards,
- smart rings/jewelries.
- spy reading glasses,
- ear piece,
- bluetooth devices,
- hard disk and
- other similar storage devices.
“Candidates are hereby advised in their best interest not to bring these items close to the examination venue. Any breach of this directive would bar the candidates from taking the examination.”
That is from the jamb o. I didn’t say it myself
#1. Mobile Phones Not Allowed:
Your mobile phone too is not allowed to be taken to the CBT centres. According to JAMB, your phones will be deactivated if you bring it to the exam hall.
To all the CBT centres, the rule this year is that electronic jammers will be installed across all the centres to deactivate all mobile phone networks because we have seen what many of them have done with phones and other electronic tools”
#2. No Use of Calculators:
Just like other electronic devices, JAMB has banned the use of calculators in the UTME exam hall. You shall be supplied with Jamb calculator. See how to use Scientific calculator to write jamb exam even while in exam hall here.
#3. No Use of Writing Materials:
Since the exams is CBT, you will be given a PC to write it. There is no need to go to exam hall with pens, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners since the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination is now computer based.
#4. No Use of Spectacles:
Any candidates going for the 2018 UTME is not expected to wear spectacles as JAMB listed eyeglasses as part of the banned items.
